Environment

United Civil has a responsible, proactive attitude to environmental management - using controlled systems and processes to minimise the environmental impact of our operations.

We invest in training our project management and site supervisory staff in the best practice implementation of erosion and sediment controls (GD05).

In fact, our work sites have been used by Regional Councils as a benchmark for training the wider industry in how to correctly implement such controls.

Our overall approach to environmental management has also helped us win awards for projects conducted in environmentally sensitive locations e.g. Cape Reinga and Whangārei Heads.

For each of our projects – regardless of type, duration or scale – we implement a specific Environmental Management Plan to mitigate environmental hazards and the risks associated with our work.

United Civil has a comprehensive Environmental Policy and is certified to the ISO 14001: 2015 standard.
