Site Supervisors (Two Positions) – Napier

We’re hiring two experienced Site Supervisors in the Hawke’s Bay region:

  • Structural Supervisor – Demonstrated expertise in structural works such as bridges, tunnels, and similar projects.
  • Three Waters Supervisor – Proven experience in three waters infrastructure with emphasis on Drinking Water construction.

As a Site Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, leading crews and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.

You will play a key role in ensuring that the Company’s core values – Excellence, People, Integrity, Innovation, and Collaboration – are consistently upheld by the teams within your area.

The role:

  • Lead daily pre-starts, risk assessments, and safety checks
  • Plan and sequence work to meet project timelines and budgets
  • Monitor productivity, material usage, and workmanship quality
  • Coordinate plant, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to site teams
  • Foster a strong culture of safety by actively ensuring the reporting of all incidents, injuries, near misses, and events in a timely manner within your teams
  • Maintain accurate site records and report progress
  • Engage positively with clients, landowners, and the public

The successful applicants:

  • Proven experience supervising civil construction projects
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Competence in managing subcontractors and suppliers
  • Comfortable using mobile apps and reporting systems
  • The availability to work on projects outside the region on occasion

Qualifications:

  • Site Safe Supervisor (or similar)
  • Trades Qualification (level 4 or higher), e.g. Carpentry, Drainlaying / Water-Wastewater Infrastructure or similar
