Site Supervisors (Two Positions) – Napier

We’re hiring two experienced Site Supervisors in the Hawke’s Bay region:
- Structural Supervisor – Demonstrated expertise in structural works such as bridges, tunnels, and similar projects.
- Three Waters Supervisor – Proven experience in three waters infrastructure with emphasis on Drinking Water construction.

As a Site Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, leading crews and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
You will play a key role in ensuring that the Company’s core values – Excellence, People, Integrity, Innovation, and Collaboration – are consistently upheld by the teams within your area.
The role:
- Lead daily pre-starts, risk assessments, and safety checks
- Plan and sequence work to meet project timelines and budgets
- Monitor productivity, material usage, and workmanship quality
- Coordinate plant, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to site teams
- Foster a strong culture of safety by actively ensuring the reporting of all incidents, injuries, near misses, and events in a timely manner within your teams
- Maintain accurate site records and report progress
- Engage positively with clients, landowners, and the public
The successful applicants:
- Proven experience supervising civil construction projects
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Competence in managing subcontractors and suppliers
- Comfortable using mobile apps and reporting systems
- The availability to work on projects outside the region on occasion
Qualifications:
- Site Safe Supervisor (or similar)
- Trades Qualification (level 4 or higher), e.g. Carpentry, Drainlaying / Water-Wastewater Infrastructure or similar
