Brett Halvorson

Brett joined United Civil in 2018, from his prior position as Chief Operations Director at Unitec Institute of Technology. He spent the last 3.5 years working in Auckland to gain broader experience, before returning to his native Northland to take on new challenges.

Prior to his Unitec role, Brett was employed by the Northland District Health Board as the Director of Strategic Projects. Brett has also taken roles at TDC Sawmills Limited as Group Financial Controller and McBreen Jenkins Construction Limited as the Chief Financial Officer. These senior roles showcase an extensive, broad and intuitive career spanning 28 years in the financial sector.

Brett’s role at United Civil encompasses managing monthly/yearly accounts, budgets, future projects’ financial plans and resource delegations for current projects. He is also responsible for our Information Technology systems, including the systemic and physical assets that service these.
